Power Shift is less than two weeks away!

The largest environmental youth rally, Power Shift 2011 in DC, is coming up really soon! Me and other students from the U of M are getting ready and super excited to attend this great event. Power Shift, will bring 10,000 young people together at the Washington Convention Center in Washington, DC between April 15-18, 2011. The agenda includes a mixture of issue briefings from the nation’s leading scientists and policy experts, trainings on organizing and advocacy from some of the most successful practitioners, an “opportunities fair” featuring nationwide environmental employers, and built-in networking opportunities for attendees.( If you want more information on this historic conference go to www.PowerShift2011.org)


We have been getting ready for this all semester and are super excited to share our experience with you through this blog. We will keep you posted on all of the events, key note speakers (like Al Gore!) and lobbying.


We leave on April 14th by charter bus, then its 20 hours to DC! If you would like to support us in our travels and this great experience, any contribution would be greatly appreciated! Check or PayPal (tab on the right) works for us!
